Tuscany Sun

by Hannah Ferrero

Are you the rocks or the river? by Zoe Wright

I am neither the rocks nor
the river.
I do not
go with the flow of what
others are doing just so that
I don’t get left behind.
But
I do not
deny change.
I am not easily
swayed by society
while still
changing myself.
I will not
leave a friend behind
just because that’s what the
crowd is doing
but I will urge them
to see
a silver lining.
I stand by what
I think is right
because
if we don’t stand for something
we may fall for anything.
I will change for the good
for the better
and sometimes for the worse
if I must.
But in reality,
I am neither the rocks nor the river.

A Poem by Tiffany B.

moving, flowing,
forever changing,
I shape the earth.
not sturdy like the rock,
immobile, immovable,
dull and lifeless,
I ripple at the touch,
evervescent swaying.
I am the mist that caresses the grass,
I am the water in which you cool off.
I am what you seek to quench your thirst.
I am laughter.
I am life.
I am.
The river.

——————————————-

moving, flowing
forever changing,
I shape the earth into being.

not sturdy like the rock,
immobile, immovable,
dull and lifeless.

I ripple at the touch,
evervescent swaying.

I am the mist that caresses the grass,
I am the water in which you cool off.
I am what you seek to quench your thirst.
I am laughter.
I am life.
I am.
The river.

Are you the rocks, or the river?

I am the river

flowing, gliding, but

strong, and fast

I am adapting

avoiding the obstacles

but slowly wearing them away

I am deep

but only if explored

there’s more than meets the eye

I am the river.

Are you the rocks, or the river?

by Camryn Perry

I am the river.

I go with the flow,

see where life takes me,

when a problem arises.

I find a way

To keep moving forward.

I don’t like to sit

And watch the world go by

I move

with it

Its ups,

And downs.

I am the river.
